Black Friday special throws up some of the best deals of the year on the must-have technology and gadgets – giving shoppers the chance to make big savings on Christmas gifts.
The growing US-imported sales phenomenon means that in 2017, November is set to overtake December as the new Christmas shopping month, according to ecommerce consultancy Salmon.
Amazon and Argos typically compete to offer the biggest Black Friday deals, and this year looks to be no different.
The result is that UK shoppers are set to splash a massive £20billlion online in November, according to Salmon.
The seven days of Black Friday week of November 2017 is expected to see £7billion spent.
Black Friday is always the day after the American bank holiday Thanksgiving and is traditionally when US shoppers start Christmas shopping – with major retailers offering deals.
Amazon was one of the first retailers to offer the time-limited sales to UK shoppers.
Rupal Karia, managing director for retail and hospitality at Fujitsu UK, said: “The idea that November is to surpass Christmas as the month for festive shopping isn’t unthinkable given how successful last year was.
“The run up to Black Friday showered shoppers with a plethora of deals, and this year November seems likely to be even bigger.
“Black Friday is clearly here to stay as consumers have grown accustomed to receiving special offers in November, and retailers have even begun to create their own peak days in order to spread the load and gain that customer traction and loyalty.”
However, shoppers have been urged to watch out for for fake deals and scams.

And consumer campaign group Which? has previously warned that Black Friday sales are they’re cracked up to be.
