That is the opinion of pundit and former Chelsea midfielder and coach Ray Wilkins.
Oxlade-Chamberlain looks set to leave Arsenal before the transfer window shuts tomorrow night (11pm).
The England international is wanted by both Chelsea and Liverpool, with his contract at Arsenal up at the end of this season.
Chelsea have agreed a £35million fee with Arsenal for Oxlade-Chamberlain but he has rejected the Blues.
He would prefer a move to Liverpool where he thinks he has a better chance of playing in his preferred central midfield position.
Despite hearing that, Wilkins says he would love to see Oxlade-Chamberlain playing for his old club.
“It looks as if the Ox is sitting on that one doesn’t it,” Wilkins said on talkSPORT.
“I’d love to see him at Stamford Bridge.
“I think this guy is a really terrific footballer.
“He can play in numerous positions and he’s just down the road as well.
“I think he’d do really well for Chelsea.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain has started Arsenal‘s first three games of the season, all as right or left wing-back.
