Everton defender Callum Connolly has sealed a season-long loan move to Ipswich Town.
The 19-year-old was part of the England under-20s squad that won the World Cup earlier this summer and will now further his development at Portman Road.
Ipswich, managed by Mick McCarthy, are second in the Championship table after an excellent start of the season and Connolly joins them having played all three of Everton u-23s Premier League 2 games this term.
The loan is the third of Connolly’s Everton career after a short spell with Barnsley in 2016 before a stint with Wigan Athletic in the second-half of last season, where he played 17 times and scored twice.
Connolly played a part in Everton’s first-team summer preparations, featuring in friendlies in Tanzania, Holland and Belgium.
