Saif Ali Khan is currently gearing up to release his next dark-comedy ‘Kaalakaandi’ in January 2018. After the ‘Rangoon’ debacle at the box-office this year, the actor is hoping to set ticket counters ringing with his next directed by Akshat Verma. At the film’s trailer launch on Wednesday, the actor got candid about the film, his daughter Sara Ali Khan’s debut and also about the possibility of a clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Padmavati’.
While stating, “‘Kaalakaandi’ is a film I am proud of,” he also spoke freely about his failures at the box-office. “It’s easy to think that people no longer want to see me in a film. But I don’t do that, I get my confidence back every time, irrespective of whether my film works or not. I’ll keep working and hopefully, things will fall into place,” he said at the event.
The actor had previously even gone ahead to state that he considered the film as one of his best films.
‘Kaalakaandi’ also features Sobhita Dhulipala, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Akshay Oberoi and Isha Talwar in other prominent roles, alongside Vijay Raaz and Deepak Dobriyal. The film is all set to release on January 12, 2018.
