FA CUP THIRD ROUND DATES
FA Cup third round ties will take place on the weekend of 5-6 January.
32 matched will be played out with several games selected for TV coverage.
Cue the outrage when Manchester United are shown on TV for the 5498th time in a row.
MAN UTD VS MAN CITY
At least, that’s what the draw rehearsal decided. There was also a tasty draw picked out that would see Millwall travel to rivals West Ham.
Chelsea were drawn at home to Cardiff, while Arsenal were handed an all Premier-League affair with a draw against Southampton.
So that means we are inevitably going to be handed a rubbish draw now with those first two aforementioned ties never going to happen again.
Defending champions Arsenal, 2016 winners Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and more will be among the 64 balls being drawn to decide the fixtures for the weekend of January 6.
But there is also the likes of AFC Fylde, Woking, Hereford United and Slough Town hoping for a big-name side in the third round draw.
Coverage of the draw is on BBC this evening with proceedings starting just after 7pm.
We’ll be bringing you live build up, the draw itself and reaction so don’t go anywhere!
