Transfer News LIVE: Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool deal, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd gossip

.

Transfer News LIVE: Deals, gossip and rumours from Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea.

Wednesday, August 30

8.05pm: West Ham are reportedly looking to sign Barcelona star Andre Gomes on deadline day.

Gomes only joined Barca from Valencia for £30m last summer.

But the Portugal international has struggled to make an impact at the Nou Camp since his mega-money move.

ESPN claim new Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde is willing to let the midfielder go as he does not figure in his plans.

And West Ham are planning to make an ambitious move for him.

7.15pm: West Ham striker Diafra Sakho is at the centre of a tug of war between Crystal Palace and Rennes.

The Hammers striker is surplus to requirements at the London Stadium and passed a medical in France yesterday.

But his £9m switch to Rennes was thrown into doubt when Palace came in with a £10m offer for the 27-year-old.

West Ham have yet to sanction his sale but Sakho is out of contract next summer and has hardly played over the last few months.

Palace are trying to add to a strikeforce heavily reliant on Christian Benteke and see Sakho as a good option.

6.20pm: Wolfsburg are closing in on a loan deal for Liverpool striker Divock Origi.

The Reds are looking to offload the Belgian after agreeing a move for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge are also ahead of Origi in the Anfield pecking order.

5.45pm: Liverpool have reached a £40m agreement with Arsenal to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The England international will now undergo his medical before completing a switch to Anfield.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is likely to sign a six-year deal at Liverpool.

4.45pm: Gary Neville thinks Alexis Sanchez will move to Manchester City tomorrow.

He told Sky Sports: “My view on the potential swap deal of Sanchez for Raheem Sterling is that it may get them money but it is not a transfer that makes them better as Sterling is still too inconsistent.

“Sanchez would certainly strengthen Manchester City because of his finishing, which they’ve struggled with, and he plays in the spirit of Pep Guardiola when he’s on his game.

“I think Sanchez is obviously a player Pep has wanted and I could see it going through.

“Arsene Wenger has tried to keep him but I think when a player’s negativity gets to the point when it’s so overwhelming that it’s affecting the whole team then you have to sell.”

4.05pm: TOTTENHAM DONE DEAL

Tottenham have announced the signing of Juan Foyth from Estudiantes.

The defender has put pen to paper on a contract until 2022.

The 19-year-old represented Argentina at Under-20 level 12 times and was a key member of their 2017 FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
