Sterling staying put
10:05: Manchester City star Raheem Sterling will NOT be joining Arsenal.
The England international was involved in a player-plus-cash deal for Alexis Sanchez, but Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol says it’s not happening.
He tweeted: “Raheem Sterling staying at Man City. Will not be going to Arsenal as part of any deal involving Alexis Sanchez moving in opposite direction.”
City still want to add Sanchez to their ranks, but will be forced into a cash-only deal.
Levante eye Perez
09:55: Levante have joined the battle to sign Arsenal outcast Lucas Perez.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Levante are desperate to bolster their attacking options and view Perez as the ideal signing.
Deportivo La Coruna were thought to be favourites to secure his signature, but were only prepared to offer a £2.6million loan deal and pay the player’s full salary.
But Arsenal would rather recoup some of their £17million outlay.
Toffees snub Barkley bid
09:30: Everton have rejected Chelsea’s approach for midfielder Ross Barkley.
The England international has refused to sign a mega-money contract extension at Goodison Park, and is likely to leave the club before tomorrow’s deadline.
Chelsea offered £25million yesterday, but the BBC claim Everton have rejected the bid.
It’s unclear whether the West London club will submit an improved offer.
Llorente deal today
09:25: Chelsea are closing in on a deal for Swansea talisman Fernando Llorente.
Spanish newspaper AS claim the Premier League champions will offer £15million for Llorente, who netted 15 goals in his debut campaign.
Everton were thought to have made a last approach to beat Antonio Conte’s side.
But the Italian holds a significant advantage having worked with Llorente at Juventus.

09:20: Leicester midfielder Danny Drinkwater has submitted an official transfer request, reports claim.
According to Sky Sports, Drinkwater has told Leicester chiefs that he’s eager to leave the King Power Stadium to join champions Chelsea.
It’s understood that Antonio Conte’s side have offered £25million for his signature.
But the Foxes are only prepared to accept an ‘exceptional bid’ for the 27-year-old.
Toon close to Kenedy loan
08:55: Newcastle are close to signing Chelsea talent Kenedy.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Rafa Benitez’s side will sign the 21-year-old on a season-long loan to bolster their attacking options.
The Toon are said to want another two players before tomorrow’s deadline with Divock Origi and Kevin Trapp on their radar.
Real Madrid could spark Bale/Sanchez moves

Spanish website Diario Gol say president Florentino Perez is considering Sanchez as a replacement for Gareth Bale.
