These Primark ‘Bring Your Own Bag Day’ adverts are doing the rounds – but shoppers shouldn’t believe them

Boy, do we love a good deal from Primark.

The budget fashion retailer has made a name for itself selling top quality clothing at knock-down prices.

The Primark stores in Birmingham attract scores of shoppers each week.

But you should probably view one advert doing the rounds on social media with suspicion.

Rumours Primark is having a ‘bring your own bag day’ have been circulating Twitter and Facebook.

The day means that you can “bring any size bag and fill it up with as many items as you can fit for £25”, according to social media users.

The catch? It is being held on February 29, 2018.

Whenever that is, right?

Considering 2018 is not a leap year, February only has 28 days.

Clearly meant as a joke, some seem to have fallen for the prank and are getting a little too excited about things, reports the Liverpool Echo .

One fashion fan said on Twitter: “Omg omg omg! Primark is doing a bring your own bag day!”

And some are tweeting the store directly to see if it is true, however the Irish-based retailer is yet to respond.
