Dembele injured his ankle in mid-September and missed five weeks for action for Spurs.
He has made back-to-back substitute appearances in Tottenham’s defeats to West Ham and Manchester United recently and is nearing full fitness again.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men take on La Liga giants Real in their Champions League Group H tie tomorrow evening.
And Dembele is eager to be involved after missing out on several big matches recently.

“I want to play as much as possible and it would be good to play against them”
Tottenham star Mousa Dembele on Real Madrid
He said: “I want to play as much as possible and it would be good to play against them.
“We showed over there that we can compete.”
On his lengthy time out, Dembele added: “It’s been tough, of course.
“It’s frustrating not only missing the big games but you just want to play.
“I can’t get too carried away because of the result but I played half-an-hour against Manchester United and that’s positive for my physical condition.
“I thought I started well this season so the injuries have been frustrating but the team has been doing well.
“Of course, the results against United and West Ham were disappointing but I don’t think we need to worry too much.
“We’re playing well.”
Tottenham and Real are currently level on points at the top of their group following their draw in the Bernabeu earlier this month.
